At NBB, you don’t just work with e-commerce in theory – you actively shape the online shop, from product pages to marketing campaigns.
Your tasks at a glance:
During your apprenticeship as a Management Assistant in E‑Commerce at notebooksbilliger.de, you’ll learn the fundamentals of online retail and be directly involved in operating our online shop – from selecting products and marketing them effectively to providing excellent customer service.
Your tasks are diverse and cover the entire e-commerce process:
- Assortment planning: Analyze demand, define the optimal product range, and keep an eye on competitors
- Product presentation in the online shop: Create product listings, write descriptions, and upload images and videos
- Targeted communication & marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies, create promotions, social media posts, and email campaigns
- Price and assortment management in coordination with product management
- Data analysis: Evaluate sales figures and shop statistics to identify trends and optimize offerings
- Order and complaint handling in customer service
- Supplier and partner communication to coordinate assortments, prices, and availability
- Coordination with logistics: Ensure products are shipped on time
- Insight into business processes such as accounting, controlling, and payment processing
- Participation in projects to further develop the online shop and optimize processes
In short: you will accompany a product’s entire lifecycle in the online shop – from initial procurement, through presentation, to delivery to the customer.

To kick-start your career in e-commerce, you need a good sense for numbers, data, and digital trends – and above all, the enthusiasm to actively shape online retail. At notebooksbilliger.de, we’re looking for motivated apprentices who start with curiosity, initiative, and team spirit.
Your requirements
- School qualification: Advanced secondary school certificate, technical college entrance qualification, or high school diploma with good grades
- Basic MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are an advantage
- Interest in business and online retail – you want to understand how products sell successfully online
- Numerical and data literacy – from calculations to data analysis
- Enjoy project work: You like tackling exciting topics and bringing your own ideas
- Communication skills: Whether with team members, suppliers, or customers, you express yourself clearly and politely
- Interest in online trends – from social media to e-commerce strategies
- Technical aptitude: You quickly adapt to new tools, software, and platforms
- Organizational skills and accuracy: Whether managing data or running marketing campaigns, you keep an overview and work carefully

Your apprenticeship conditions in E‑Commerce
Working hours: Your working hours are flexible and set individually in consultation with you.
Home office & team days: Home office is possible by arrangement. At the same time, there are fixed team days in the office, where the whole team comes together – for collaboration, creativity, and team spirit.
You will attend vocational school in Hanover at the Cora Berliner School and in Potsdam at OSZ Werder.
In Hanover, you have classes two days per week during your first year of apprenticeship, and one day per week from the second year onwards.
In Potsdam, vocational school is held in block teaching format.
Your main focus is on product management. There, you’ll learn how to present products online optimally, develop marketing strategies, and target the right audience. Additionally, you’ll gain insights into other areas such as customer service, accounting, marketing, and logistics, so you understand the entire e-commerce process.

Dress code: Casual but appropriate – after all, you represent our company.
Individual support: We provide you with exam preparation courses, internal coaching, and access to our e-learning platform to ensure you are fully prepared for your exams.
