IT

Our IT forms the heart of our company, so to speak, since our founder Arnd von Wedemeyer had the idea of selling software and hardware via the World Wide Web at a very young age and thus created the basis for our current online shop www.notebooksbilliger.de in 2002. Our IT specialists focus on business intelligence, web development, operations and system administration. For this purpose, our IT is divided into nine different teams, which are mainly located in Berlin and Hannover.

BI

The BI team supports the company in decision-making processes by analyzing and processing company data, centralizes all company data in a data warehouse and acts as a central point of contact for report requests.

Frontend

Whether on the desktop (web), the mobile site or our web applications, the frontend team is responsible for everything our customers "see" in our online shop. In addition, the colleagues are responsible for the internal store frontend (OSC). Other important tasks are the user experience (UX/UI), which should always be as intuitive and easy as possible for the customer, as well as tracking and platform marketing (marketing actions) on our online platforms.

QA

Our Quality Assurance Team is responsible for quality assurance for the online shop. They draft guidelines, concepts and test methods, create test cases and work on test automation and test execution. They also introduce new QA projects to improve quality and improve internal work efficiency.

Navision

Our Navision developers are working on a continuous optimization of our IT processes within our ERP system. They are responsible for the further development and operation of our ERP system based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017, developing solutions for the optimization of our business processes in all business areas, such as logistics, purchasing or our stores. They connect our online store, EDI components and various other subsystems and platforms to our ERP solution.

(Dev) OPS

The DevOPS team primarily looks after servers that are necessary for the operation of the web shop (installation, maintenance, error diagnostics, etc.) In addition, they are responsible for scaling the infrastructure - AWS (Amazon Cloud Services) & Google Cloud and increase the flexibility of our website, for example to better distribute the load of the web store in the event of increased traffic. In addition, they research and analyze new technologies in order to continuously meet technical requirements.

Checkout

The colleagues in the checkout team are responsible for the process from shopping cart to receipt of money. Our mission is to sell products. We want to make it as easy as possible for the end customer to order something from us.

Your goals are to achieve...

... an optimal conversion rate (CR), i.e. the best possible ratio of customers who enter the checkout and make a purchase at the end

.... a high degree of process automation: (e.g. automated fraud detection)

... of additional sales in the shopping cart / checkout

... correct price calculations

Content

Our content team deals with all relevant topics concerning product creation (PIMS), product availability, marketplace connections, store navigation, product recommendations and search. Price availability and calculation is also part of the team's daily work. It continues to work on catalog information for exports (Masterfeed & Procuctsup), as well as on the development of an intelligent purchasing advisor. In addition, the team takes care of general store topics in the areas of performance, software up-to-dateness and development environment.

C# & RMA

The abbreviation RMA stands for Return Merchandise Authorization. The colleagues from the C# & RMA team deal with goods that have been returned by the customer. They organize and implement RMA processes and thus record all processes in the course of returns. The team provides our employees with optimal customer information - e.g. in the form of specific shipping and packaging instructions - and thus ensures short repair lead times. In addition, the colleagues map the reverse transaction to the manufacturer and the creation of the outlet goods.

UHD

The UHD (USER HELP DESK) team is the central point of contact for IT technical problems and looks after all workstations both in terms of hardware and software. That means it not only sets up the PC for our employees, but also connects you to our network as well as the session and provides you with your passwords. Furthermore, the team takes care of the merchandise management system, the telephone systems as well as the mail servers and makes sure that all employees can receive and send their mails every day. In addition to creating and archiving employee accounts, procuring, setting up and rolling out hardware and assigning and revoking authorizations in various systems (for example: Active Directory, merchandise management, mail, building access controls, etc.), the UHD colleagues are responsible for optimizing security in the corporate network. In addition, they are pursuing various projects, such as the introduction of a central client management system. Furthermore, the colleagues are involved in the planning and setting up of the IT infrastructure at new locations.
